Brendan Rodgers supplies details of the fitness of two Leicester City stars who have had injuries. But Jonny Evans and James Maddison are now available.

Leicester City’s 100 per cent record continued in the Europa League on Thursday evening. SC Braga – the Foxes’ greatest rivals for Group G superiority, according to some – were brushed aside 4-0 at King Power Stadium.

Brendan Rodgers’ team are marching to the knockout stages in search of European glory. It has been said that the Northern Irishman has shown his players a video of Sevilla receiving their trophy last season, in order to motivate them towards a UEL triumph of their own.

Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel also explained how the 2016 Premier League title is being used internally by some of the veteran champions to inspire the squad. How refreshing and positive that is to hear.

Leicester City boss on Jonny Evans and James Maddison’s fitness after injuries

Jonny Evans has missed some time this season with a couple of issues. Nothing too serious has occurred, and it seems as though the Northern Irish international is fit again.

At his press conference, Rodgers informed media that Evans should now be available. However, the centre-back will only be deployed in defence if he doesn’t incur a reaction to his treatment. This information comes from Leicestershire Live.

With regard to James Maddison, the boss confirmed that the England man – who was snubbed by Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate on the same day as the Braga victory, in which Maddison scored – is now “good to go”, thankfully for the Blue Army.

‘Madders’ has had a few injuries too, stemming from late in the 2019/20 campaign. Yet he’s still managed to play starring bit roles in many of the fine Foxes displays this term; against the Portuguese he sustained some knocks that appear to be inconsequential.
