Triple injury boost for Liverpool ahead of Leicester clash

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has received a triple injury boost ahead of the his team’s clash with Premier League leaders Leicester City.

While the final few international friendlies and Nations League matches are concluded, focus will now happily turn to domestic football. Leicester City face the mammoth task of traveling to Merseyside and beating Liverpool.

Realistically, the east Midlanders have got to venture north and at least give the Reds a game. And this coming Sunday may just be the most opportune time to play Jurgen Klopp’s side. Well, it’s as good as any other moment to meet the ‘mentality giants’ – as Klopp christened his men.

Now, Mohamed Salah’s involvement due to COVID-19 is currently being debated in mainstream media, so let’s examine some other Liverpool injury cases whose status’ may have altered.

First of all, Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all unavailable for Klopp. Secondly, the champions have concerns over Jordan Henderson, Andy Robertson and Fabinho.

England have released Henderson due to a fitness problem; although there is a claim from Mirror Sport that he’ll be available for the Leicester contest. Robertson might feature for Scotland before the English top-flight fixture, making him likely to start for Liverpool. Finally, the Brazilian will probably go back to training, making his availability a possibility.

Speaking of quality managers, Brendan Rodgers was recently praised by his player Timothy Castagne. Castagne has been sidelined with a problem for the previous three Leicester games.
