This has been a long, long time coming, but it seems as though Demarai Gray will leave Leicester City this summer. A French club has opened talks for a free transfer.

All is going well at Leicester City: progress in league and European competition. Brendan Rodgers was clearly the right man for the job. Not to mention January providing a perfect time to trim or add to an already quality squad of players.

There will be both for the Foxes; Foxes of Leicester envisages a few to leave and one or two athletes to join, following recent transfer reports and updates. Arriving players are likely to be bought and may include young, talented goalkeeper Kelechi Chibueze.

Demarai Gray’s future becoming clearer, might leave for free

Earlier this week it was claimed that Leeds United were leading the race to capture Demarai Gray’s signature, as per The Boot Room.

In FoL’s opinion, Marcelo Bielsa could be the ideal candidate to restore the winger’s faith in the sport, and can, like an army Sergeant, probably help him rediscover his form through better repetition and a purely exhaustive work ethic.

However, in a twist to the story, it appears that a French side will now acquire Gray free of charge. Monaco are said to hold an interest; yet Marseille have, according to Daily Mail, opened talks with the Fox.

After Leicester play Stoke City in the FA Cup Third Round, they meet Southampton in the Premier League. These are naturally winnable games for the Foxes, yet may be tougher encounters than first imagined. The Saints are much improved and playing some intricate and committed football; while the Potters are Midlands rivals looking to make their name once again and reemerge against top teams.
