The Blue Army fan base have woken up to mixed news on Monday morning. Their club, Leicester City, are scheduled to play Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion at King Power Stadium tonight (January, 5). However, there was a certain degree of snowfall on Sunday night. This meant a Yellow Weather Warning transpired from the Met Office's forecast: meaning snow and ice is said to be prevalent.

This news reportedly places the Foxes and Baggies clash into jeopardy; particularly when the referee examines the pitch later on in the early evening. Although, if we had to guess - it looks as though the LCFC-WBA match will go ahead. Though that is only my personal view at the time of writing, around 4:30pm. Of course, Filbert Way has entertained games in actual heavy snowfall before for example.

Something else which the City faithful are concerned with at the moment is transfer speculation. And we get through plenty of that here, with respect to analysis and opinion, as you'll be aware. To that end, there is currently talk that Michail Antonio, who has been training at LCFC's Seagrave ground as a free agent, is on the verge of signing for the Leicestershire side. A new striker remains desperately needed at Leicester.

In the meantime, the manager situation appears to potentially be changing, if reporting is accurate. The City support are generally fed up with current head coach Marti Cifuentes; even though he inherited a mediocre squad. Hearsay and claims suggest the Catalonian is on the LCFC chopping board, so to speak. But the apparent favourite in certain quarters, Micheal Carrick, might perhaps not be first choice.

Leicester City seem to favour installing former Foxes gaffer Martin O’Neill over hiring Michael Carrick

In spite of Cifuentes still being in work, City bosses are supposedly 'exploring' a switch. LCFC have apparently approached O’Neill's representatives:

"Exclusive: Leicester City Explore Shock Martin O’Neill Comeback as Pressure Mounts on Cifuentes
Leicester City representatives have approached Martin O'Neill about becoming their new manager amidst dissatisfaction with current boss Marti Cifuentes. O'Neill's successful caretaker stint at Celtic has made him a popular choice among fans and the board of directors. His ability to connect with young players and proven track record make him an appealing short-term solution if Cifuentes fails to turn the team's fortunes around."
