Many decisions are currently being made at Seagrave Training Ground as the club recalibrates its trajectory for the forthcoming campaign. Russell Martin has been diligently assessing his squad for a couple of weeks now, discerning which individuals align with his tactical vision.

In addition to that crucial element, quite a few senior and youth footballers have already departed as their contracts expired, signaling a period of significant transition. Meanwhile, young Foxes starlet Jeremy Monga has officially put pen to paper, securing a high-profile move to English giants Manchester City.

Harry Winks, Abdul Fatawu, Jannik Vestergaard and Victor Kristiansen stand as the next most likely Leicester City assets to exit the doors at King Power Stadium. Foxes supporters are unlikely to mourn the potential loss of Winks; in fact, the prevailing sentiment suggests indifference - if not a desire for a clean slate.

Fatawu's departure would undoubtedly be a sporting loss, though it would provide much-needed funds to bolster other areas of the pitch. Conversely, the pursuit of Danish recruits Vestergaard and Kristiansen was viewed by many as a series of particularly poor acquisitions that failed to justify the respective investments.

Ben Nelson is another figure who could realistically fetch a decent fee, much like the deals struck for Fatawu and Monga. He has attracted reported interest from Italian and German quarters, with both Torino and Borussia Monchengladbach keeping a watchful eye on his situation.

What's next for Leicester City pair Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Stephy Mavididi?

However, Martin may choose, or make a request to Jon Rudkin (through the guise of sporting director James McCarron), in order to retain certain contemporary ballers. First of all, reports circulating through the Leicester Mercury have stated that Bobby De Cordova-Reid should be retained by the club.

"Bobby De Cordova-Reid should be kept. Stephy Mavididi’s future is uncertain, yet he could dominate at this level."

The clear implication is that the Jamaica international is expected to remain a part of the setup, rather than being a mere suggestion that his experience would be wise to keep. While the situation regarding Stephy Mavididi remains shrouded in ambiguity.

The winger's future is described as uncertain by local outlets, despite the obvious quality he previously possessed when operating at his peak. It has been noted that Mavididi could dominate at this level, and such a prospect means Martin may firmly wish for the wideman not to be offloaded.

Having been exceptionally impactful under the guidance of Enzo Maresca, Mavididi represents a rare breed of talent capable of changing a game’s complexion; he also scored in the initial friendly. Similarly, De Cordova-Reid would almost certainly prove to be an influential figure should he remain at the LE2 club for the challenges ahead.
