Today (Saturday, December 27), we are examining some Leicester transfer rumours and signing suggestions from inside the media machine. As I say, one or two of these players appear to be linked to Leicester City Football Club. While the larger group of other ballers seem to be suggested acquisitions ready for when the January transfer window opens in a few days' time. Let's waste no time and have a look at the proposals from Leicester Mercury journalist Jordan Blackwell, and then discuss the benefits and drawbacks.

Six players currently linked with potential respective transfers to Leicester City include: Harrison Reed, Shim Mheuka, Joel Piroe, Sam Byram, Hannes Delcroix and Dan Neil

The title of the LCFC Live piece I am drawing from is 'Harry Winks' replacement and an Enzo Maresca favour - 6 Leicester City January loan targets', implies connections to the Foxes. However, after reading the article in its entirety, I believe Blackwell's choices are generally recommendations.

Irrespective, Profit and Sustainability means City are only likley to be able to conduct loans, writes the LCFC-specialist reporter. If you were not aware, English Football League Championship teams can have unlimited temporary signings in any given season. Yet only up to five can be named in matchday squads.

Therefore Julian Carranza's stay may be cut short. The Argentine has failed in England's tier two so far; with few (or zero) glimpses of any progress. Aaron Ramsey and Jordan James were, of course, exceptional loans! Blackwell cited the five options along with Dan Neil, who we have covered before now.

Harrison Reed: not needed at Fulham, the Mercury make a reasonable suggestion here if Neil isn't targeted.

Shim Mheuka: to be fair, LCFC fans are hoping for Michail Antonio as the striker recruit.

Joel Piroe: a decent shout, although currently not available. A previous Leicester target.

Sam Byram or Hannes Delcroix: I'd take a left back enhancement any day!

"Hannes Delcroix
Haiti international Delcroix was left out of Burnley’s Premier League squad and so has not played any senior minutes this term, although he’s been keeping his fitness up with appearances for their Under-21s. He’s been out of the picture with the Clarets for a while following a serious ankle injury, but he’s been fit for nearly a year now, and received positive reviews during a loan spell at Swansea in the second half of last season.

He can play at left-back and at centre-back, and that’s useful with City potentially losing Wout Faes next month, while he seems keen to find a new club, especially with Haiti’s debut World Cup to prepare for."
