The Premier League is finished until 20 October for a couple of rounds of international fixtures. Which Leicester City players play with which countries and what upcoming matchups do they face:

How will any of us cope for almost two weeks without Premier League football? In particular – with no Leicester City. Please, say it ain’t so. Sadly, this is the case. However, all is not lost and/or boring for the next 10 days; we have the UEFA Nations League. A new competition which is starting to liven up – promise.

Other national outfits have friendlies and qualifiers to indulge your footballing passion in. For example, the FA website gives us details on England’s intriguing clashes with Croatia and Spain. How will Foxes new edition to the seniors, James Maddison, progress? Of course, the former Norwich playmaker won’t have the mentoring of striker Jamie Vardy: the 31-year-old retired from his country recently.

These are the 18 Leicester City players out and about on international duty over the second short break this campaign:

England: Harry Maguire, Maddison, (Ben Chilwell promoted to the senior squad following Luke Shaw’s absence, Harvey Barnes U21s roster – versus Andorra and Scotland).

Nigeria: Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi.

Denmark: Kasper Schmeichel versus Republic of Ireland, (Daniel Iverson U21s roster)

Wales: Andy King (not in Premier League squad), George Thomas (development roster), Danny Ward, versus Spain and Republic of Ireland.

Turkey: Caglar Soyuncu, versus Russia.

Northern Ireland: Jonny Evans, versus Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Algeria: Rachid Ghezzal.

Ghana: Daniel Amartey.

Croatia Under-21s: Filip Benkovic.

Romania Under-21s: Alex Pascanu.

Sweden Under-20s: Viktor Johansson.

While Ghezzal and Amartey play African Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Benin and Sierra Leone, for their respective nations. The Nigerians face Libya in the same competition preliminaries. Every other Leicester City senior man plays Nations League fixtures, hoping to make their progression.

One other 21-year-old, in addition to Maddison, to keep an invested eye on – is Benkovic. Yes, he’s only representing a youth team for Vatreni, (“Blazers” or “Fiery Ones” according to Wikipedia) he is starting games for Celtic, earning decent reviews. And us English know the threat and quality of all Croatian internationals.

Making two appearances in the Scottish Premier League and one in the Europa League, shows Benkovic’s value to the Hoops. If Wes Morgan is still beginning games for Leicester City and making huge errors and mistakes then maybe the Croat will return from his loan north of the border – sooner than expected.

Next. Harry Maguire dodged a bullet at Manchester Untied. dark

Leicester City lost their last game, disappointingly. Although, a competent and rising Everton defeated the East Midlands side before the premiership respite. This, following three successive, convincing wins. Consequently, the interruption is necessary for Foxes manager Claude Puel to regroup and strategize with his assistant Jacky Bonnevay.
