Despite the requirement for another attacking winger at Leicester City, a current wide man at the club could be on his way out of the club.

Demarai Gray has been linked with a number of teams this summer due to the lack of first-team action he has been handed by Brendan Rodgers.

The Birmingham-born man’s contract runs out next summer and he could leave King Power Stadium this summer if the right offer comes in for him.

Winger wants out of Leicester City?

According to Birmingham Live, Gray has been made a target for Aston Villa. After losing his way at Leicester, a potential move elsewhere to reinvigorate his career will be on his mind.

Tottenham are rumoured to want Gray, with Leicester valuing him at £20m. However, due to this contract situation, the Foxes could be forced to sell for cheap to save them from losing him on a free next summer.

Dean Smith will be licking his lips at the prospect of bringing Gray to Villa Park, with only Anwar El Ghazi and Trezeguet impressing on the wing last season.

Trezeguet bagged only six goals whilst El Ghazi only hit the back of the net four times. Jota, who joined from Birmingham City last summer, failed to score at all.

Gray will offer Premier League experience to Villa, but his stats will not sit lightly. In 132 appearances in the top flight, the latter has managed only 10 goals.

However, following the lockdown, Gray impressed massively. His performance at Watford earned him a starting place against Brighton before he netted against Sheffield United towards the conclusion of the season.

Villa has been linked with Ollie Watkins and Said Benrahma, who has been linked with the Foxes, so could find an alternative to Gray.

For Leicester, selling the 24 year old would not be a smart move. With European football upcoming, Gray has the perfect platform to shine. His skill, pace and flair could work wonders for Rodgers’ men when called upon next season.
