Foxes of Leicester rounds up the incredibly positive and inspiring things that defender Wesley Fofana has said since joining Leicester City.

FoL would describe the past transfer window as quite successful for Leicester City. A 7.5/10, would be my personal score for Brendan Rodgers’ Recruitment department. Selling more deadwood would’ve garnered an eight or higher.

In fact, Rodgers was impressed with the transfer folk at the East Midlands club. Speaking very in a complimentary fashion, the Northern Irishman praised his team for ‘applying due diligence and working with speed and precising‘ with regards to the “brilliant” signing of Wesley Fofana.

It was well-known that the Frenchman coveted the King Power outfit, he actually had his heart set on the move: publicly encouraging Saint-Etienne to make a deal. As you can read for yourself, Fofana is delighted with his move, saying:

"“I’ve watched Leicester City closely since they won the title and they’re a top Club in the Premier League. I know I will learn a lot from the players and the manager here, which is one of the main reasons I came.”"

It was confirmed that Fofana will wear the squad No.3 for the 2020/21 campaign. That was the same digit the defender wore while playing for Saint-Etienne. Many Foxes fans noticed the available shirt and cleverly predicted that it remained vacant in hopefulness of the Frenchman eventually joining the Foxes. And the club is offering a chance to win an official Fofana Leicester shirt, here.

St. Etienne’s former centre-back describes himself as a “soldier” in defence, which the Blue Army will appreciate – trust me! Additionally, he claims that the Foxes are a significant team that he chose very easily.

Leicester’s franchise is strong, despite some vocal supporters being disenfranchised as 2019/20 ended and this campaign began.

Elsewhere in Filbert way news, Adrien Silva has of course left the club after an awful time at Leicester. Before the Portuguese moved to Italian side Sampdoria, he thanked the late, great Leicester chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha for granting his wish to play in the EPL. What a shame Silva’s desire didn’t transpire how he would’ve wanted.
