Blackburn Rovers apparently want Leicester City starlet Luke Thomas, while Foxes will do battle with Tottenham Hotspur for Joe Rodon.

There are some peripheral squad players who will likely leave Leicester City on loan before the Championship transfer window deadline on October 16, which is this Friday. Luke Thomas may be one to depart, yet he should not be allowed to leave on a permanent deal.

English second division outfit Blackburn Rovers have Leeds United’s Scottish left-back Barry Douglas as their main target. But are said to hold a preexisting interest in Foxes starlet, Thomas.

Hopefully Rovers are eyeing a temporary move for the 19 year old, because he has a bright future with the East Midlands club, as Foxes of Leicester sees it. If the Lancashire team desire to purchase the fullback, it is likely they’ll be disappointed. Thomas is an England youth international and has many qualities to eventually elevate him to an elite athlete.

Leicester City lose ground on Joe Rodon

It has also been reported in the last week that the King Power side are monitoring talented defender Joe Rodon of Swansea. Tottenham Hotspur are their rival for the Welshman’s signature.

Arguably Spurs are more in need of a centre-back than Leicester presently. Although, like Brendan Rodgers, Jose Mourinho does have plenty of options at the back. The Londoners and Leicester will do battle for the 22 year old, according to a report.

Aston Villa are welcomed to Leicestershire, sort of, when the Premier League resumes. This game will be an absolute thriller, well, the result will be thrilling unless it’s 0-0. Even then there are implications: hypothetically the Villans would be encouraged by that outcome; while Leicester will undoubtedly be targeting three points, especially since the West Ham United debacle.
