Leicester City have many injuries at present, though the load may be lightened soon. Here are the return dates for Ayoze Perez and Jonny Evans.

Following a deserved and decent point up at Burnley’s Turf Moor, Brendan Rodgers and his men have almost no respite. That is because the gruelling schedule continues with a trip to the seaside to meet Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday evening.

If you’re not aware, which I’m sure all of you are, the Foxes squad is suffering from a plethora of injuries. These issues especially concern personnel in the more advanced positions, as many forward-thinking players are sidelined at the moment: James Maddison, Harvey Barnes, Ayoze Perez.

Thankfully Wesley Fofana produced an assured cameo versus the Clarets in his comeback this week. Maddison and Perez are also apparently back in training – which is a huge boost for the east Midlands team. Leicestershire Live suggests Perez will return for the Sheffield United game on Sunday, March 14.

Meanwhile centre-back and one of the outfit’s more experienced heads, Jonny Evans, is also doing well. Unfortunately Evans is a doubt for the Seagulls clash, but will likely play in the subsequent match against the Blades.

Leicester City star was on the verge of call-up

In case you missed this quote from England manager Gareth Southgate earlier in the week, it seems as though thoroughly impressive Leicester defender James Justin was about to receive a maiden senior international call-up.

Justin has played in the Three Lions youth setup, but was on the precipice of full elevation if you read into the boss’s statement ever so slightly. Southgate said this about the former-Luton Town man:

"“James Justin we think has been doing exceptionally well at Leicester – he’s out [of contention for the upcoming England squad].”– Gareth SouthgateVia TalkSPORT"

Clearly the versatile Fox wasn’t just on the mind of the England gaffer and his staff – Justin was ready to be chosen as one of the country’s best. And rightly so.
