What Kolo Toure has been teaching Leicester’s Wesley Fofana
Former-Arsenal centre-half Kolo Toure is now a Leicester City coach. Foxes star Wesley Fofana explains what he’s been learning from the Ivorian.
While Fofana is tipped for a colossal future with one of Europe’s elite clubs, his skill set, knowledge and tangible experience is being refined with the King Power side. And Leicester just happen to be one of the main outfits on the rise in world football.
Stability has also been prudently planned for on Filbert Way: a brand new state-of-the-art training facility, plans to extend the ground by a quarter of its current size despite the coronavirus causing enormous global financial issues, and a commitment to invest and reinvest funds into the now prospering but still youthful squad of talent.
Therefore, if you ask me and Foxes of Leicester, the young Frenchman is in the best possible place for his development. Additionally, First Team staff such as manager Brendan Rodgers and Toure – who is sometimes labelled as Assistant Manager but is a coach, according to lcfc.com – are a great mix of solid characters: positivity, intelligence; knowledge as well as footballing intensity, creating a nurturing environment for athletes.
If Fofana does end up at Manchester City, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, or even Real Madrid or Barcelona – I wouldn’t be surprised. Hopefully he wins a few cups with the Foxes before being sold for a stupidly high price, in that possible eventuality.
How Kolo Toure is helping Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana
The 20-year-old gave an interview to Daily Mail last week, in which the player described how Toure is assisting his growth:
"“Kolo has taken me under his wing and helped me not just on the field but in my life in England too. When I was little, Kolo Toure was a hero to me.“It’s not just about what’s on the pitch, he advises me on what I need to do in terms of nutrition, keeping myself hydrated…“In terms of the game he has helped me a lot tactically and also in communication”– Wesley FofanaRead more at Daily Mail"
