It looks like Leicester fans still won't get their main wish

What a day Friday was for Leicester City Football Club! Though it wasn't completely out of the 'blue'. To be totally candid with our readership, I've been criticising the LCFC ownership for the longest, so to speak. Owner Aiyawatt 'Khun Top' Srivaddhanaprabha allowed the team, the organisation and his relatively short, yet eventful, tenure to deteriorate drastically.

You could say that the chairman was on his last legs on Filbert Way, as they say. He probably conducted his recent 'interview' (some would describe it as a scripted interaction on a generous platform to sway opinion) without a moment to spare, as I see it. Although Top hasn't convinced the entire fan base that LCFC are on the way back. Nor do we completely trust that he and his previously shy staff shall be transparent and loquacious all of a sudden!

In addition to the skepticism even held by myself, whilst I am slightly open-minded, City supporters were not granted their main wish from the Foxes hierarchy. While Jon Rudkin has seeming been stripped of some power at King Power Stadium, and moved 'upstairs', he remains a powerful man in LE2. It looks like Leicester fans' utmost request still won't be honoured.

What top Leicester City source John Percy said of Jon Rudkin role switch

Percy, who writes for respected outlet The Telegraph, correctly wrote of how Rudkin became the prime target of the Blue Army's outrage. The latter certainly earned a chastising - or the sack. He didn't deserve for his figurative demise to be sang about gleefully.

However, Percy reveals that the former Foxes Academy manager will retain the title of 'director of football'. Yet the upcoming introduction of a technical director takes over in general; in a 'shift of strategy' from Khun Top et al.

"A technical director is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the football aspects of a club, overseeing recruitment, coach development, performance analysis, sport science and strategy."

The above quote indicates that Rudkin no longer oversees footballing matters. He nonetheless remains an influential man in Leicestershire - for now.
