If Leicester City lose their outstanding Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi to Tottenham Hotspur, it will be a disaster for the Foxes.

Signing some players, not losing them, was Leicester City’s intention during the current off-season. Clearly the Foxes support were not expecting to be spoiled by marquee transfers this summer.

This is because the reported budget for incoming players is not that large, at all. Apparently the fund is only £20 million. However, when the King Power outfit receive at least £50m from Chelsea for star man Ben Chilwell, the former will hopefully reinvest some of that into the kitty.

Subsequently, if the Blue Army are fortuitous, a winger such as Bournemouth’s David Brooks or Brentford’s Said Benrahma should be captured. Brendan Rodgers’ side has a deficiency of special wing talent, only supplied by a sublime specialist. Whether either of those two targets are signed and then live up to expectations, obviously remains to be seen.

Wilfred Ndidi wanted by Tottenham Hotspur

According to the latest Leicester rumours, Tottenham Hotspur are lining-up a bid for tackling supremo Wilfred Ndidi. Spurs have apparently asked King Power about Ndidi’s availability.

If the Nigeria international leaves Filbert Way, it would be detrimental for Rodgers’ team to lose their linchpin. The midfielder going to the North London outfit, as top-six rivals, is a potential disaster.
