In his pre-Liverpool press conference, Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers was asked about the Foxes’ title chances this season.

While the weather gets progressively colder, the Premier League will heat up! Leicester City can deal Liverpool a severe blow by claiming three points, at an extraordinarily opportune time to visit Anfield.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp’s injury issues have mounted into a pile; at least four key stars will be missing from Sunday’s enormous encounter. They include Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez and the great Virgil Van Dijk.

Similarly, the Foxes have had their fair share of problems in the fitness department. Yet many of their important players are returning at the best of moments. You can find out more details about that by clicking the link directly below this.

Brendan Rodgers asked about Leicester City’s title chances

During the rather peculiar 2020/21 campaign so far, which is in at an early stage, Leicester are enjoying a marvellous term overall. Well, they are top of the EPL – at present.

Following providing information on his players’ problems, Brendan Rodgers was asked about the realistic title chances of his team this season. I’m sure we all saw that question was incoming from a mile away.

Rodgers reckons he hasn’t even thought about lifting the league trophy with the King Power club. Furthermore, after only eight matches, he says their approach to games must continue. The full interview is over at BBC Sport.

Another interesting inquiry put to the Foxes gaffer, was about Video Assistant Refereeing. There are proposed alterations to how referees control the VAR system, yet the northern Irishman refused to be drawn into a discussion or even an argument about the scenario, preferring to say: “I don’t overthink it to be honest. I trust the officials”.
