Brendan Rodgers has indicated the injury status of three star players at Leicester City who are all currently suffering from knocks.

Two successive Premier League draws in a row, eh!? That was after no stalemates in the division all season for Leicester City. Manchester United and Crystal Palace were the clubs who managed to take a point from the Foxes; one at King Power Stadium finishing 2-2, followed by the 1-1 Selhurst Park contest.

Despite this, Leicester sit third in the English top-flight; a position well-earned and a which will be very difficult to maintain with the stiff competition around the country.

Next up for the east Midlands side is Newcastle United; they are in a inconsistent patch presently, so the Leicester team should attack confidently but always defend diligently with commitment.

Injury updates on three Leicester City stars

Brendan Rodgers has provided press, and now supporters, with an update on the status’ of some of his injured as well as struggling personnel. Unfortunately for desired progress, Ricardo Pereira is still unavailable. Portugal’s flying full-back hasn’t played since a reoccurrence of his initial problem.

Rodgers also spoke about James Maddison: the England international missed the United clash, but Rodgers implied that the midfielder will be ready.

Meanwhile, it is also probable that defender Wesley Fofana will return. Finally, Cengiz Under: the Turk will be assessed before the upcoming fixture due to a hamstring issue. Read more at lcfc.com.

If the trio are all available, it is still unlikely all three shall begin the game against Newcastle. Although I consider them a part of the best eleven, Rodgers wisely doesn’t often start players returning from injury. More often than not, they more prudently feature as substitutes. The match is on Sunday and takes place at the Magpies’ St James’ Park.
