Watford have set Ismaila Sarr’s valuation at £40 million, just like £30m-rated Wilfried Zaha, Leicester City should be aiming for these types of players.

I know for a fact that most Leicester City supporters – it’s actually all of the switched on fan base – know that the starting side is desperate for an injection of scintillating play on one of the wings. There is no question there, regardless of Harvey Barnes’s ongoing positive progression. Brendan Rodgers and the recruitment department are acutely aware of an excelling wingman deficiency, on the right in particular.

Why haven’t Leicester City already made an attempt to sign Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha? A real mystery; a loan would even suffice. With his reasonable, supposed valuation of £30 million, it actually seems unwise of the Foxes not to be slightly interested. To be frank, the East Midlanders should definitely pounce before another likeminded outfit such as Arsenal beat them to the Ivory Coast international.

And yes, obviously Zaha plays on the same side as Barnes, which isn’t ideal. Yet surely either could be proficient in the position they will have been deployed in as youths, before inverting wingers was thoroughly fashionable.

Whilst football transfer gossip in The Sun states that Watford consider £40m a fair fee for Ismaila Sarr. The Senegalese is good enough to grace most top-half sides in the Premier League, as Foxes of Leicester sees it. A perfect fit for City, especially as a right-sided specialist. Ironically, speculation says Palace fancy him as well.

Other possible, fairly high-profile wingmen Leicester City are reportedly after include: Bournmouth’s left-footer David Books; Norwich City starlet Todd Cantwell; along with the dangerous Said Benrahma of Brentford. Any of those potential signings would suit the Foxes, and generally please the faithful – probably.
