With some of the current insufficient Leicester City play, it is possible that the club may invest in January. These two linked players are unneeded.

That’s right – Foxes of Leicester are advocating some signings. I mean, a team is never fully complete, is it? And Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City project – regardless of the unqualified ‘thoughts’ of the bewildering aggressive faction of football Twitter – is coming along wonderfully.

As a writer of ours put it: ten years ago, we’d have bitten your hand off to be in this position. Although, at age-36, I do not envy the youngsters: us middle elders and older fans have been through thick and thin with the Foxes. Prior to 2016, we were delighted with the King Power side’s status.

Therefore these generations aren’t always expecting success and truly appreciate any Leicester progress and triumphs. No, we cannot accept home losses to Fulham – but understand the evolution of a work in progress. One way to improve an outfit will always be appropriate signings.

Two unnecessary Leicester City targets

Reports suggest that Rodgers’ Recruitment staff may target two players to sign in January 2021.

First of all, it’s William Carvalho – again. Even though defensive-minded midfield men are literally the last spot on earth Leicester need to fill, the unneeded Real Betis man is connected once more. There are more details of his availability here.

Secondly, youthful Ecuadorian winger Gonzalo Plata has been linked with a move to Filbert Way. While he is very promising, I’d prefer a wingman proven in a top European division.

Leicester have not won any of their previous four outings in all competitions; Fulham, Liverpool and Zorya Luhansk all beat the Foxes; while Braga drew with them in that time. Jamie Vardy is a Sheffield Wednesday fan – the Blue Army will be hoping their famous No.9 is in typically boisterous mood for the upcoming Sheffield United clash.
